It's not about you

I feel that some people think I am a person of pride and conceitedness. It peeves me. But maybe only because it's true. But I write something of a retort, or at least something to think about. Motivation

I was scanning through my thesis adviser’s site, and saw her oldest creative publication was in 1995, in some sort of youth magazine. Youth?
